Robert Gabriel Jr. is the United States Deputy National Security Advisor. He has served President Donald J. Trump in various roles since 2015. Mr. Gabriel started in Trump Tower as a Policy Advisor on his first presidential campaign. He served in the West Wing, for the entirety of the first Trump Administration, as Special Assistant to the President. Mr. Gabriel was a Senior Advisor on President Trump's successful 2024 campaign, and returned to the White House as Assistant to the President for Policy. He is a founding member of the President's task forces on AI Education, Digital Asset Markets, and Critical Minerals. In May 2025, President Trump named Secretary of State Marco Rubio as his National Security Advisor, and Mr. Gabriel as his Deputy National Security Advisor. Mr. Gabriel previously worked in broadcast television as an Associate Producer on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle." He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Policy from New York University.
